This production of Birth is a co-production of Three Sisters Theatre Company and the Coalition for Breech Birth, with support from BOLD. All of the professional actors involved in this production have donated their time and significant talents to this fundraiser, with all proceeds going towards defraying the costs of the International Breech Conference (Bronson Centre, October 15-16 2009). Three Sisters is an Ottawa based theatre company dedicated to producing theatre that tells women's stories, increasing the opportunities available for Ottawa's female actors to work together. Birth is our first production. Coalition for Breech Birth
CBB is a grassroots organization advocating for the return of vaginal breech birth to the options normally available to women and families whose baby is presenting "by the breech." For more information about breech presentation, and our work, please visit www.breechbirth.ca. BOLD
The BOLD movement brings women around the world together in efforts to improve maternity care. Proceeds from productions of Karen Brody's play Birth as well as Red Tent events are donated to organizations that work towards this goal. |
